Preservation of our heritage is these days closely linked to the need to use certain buildings for alternative purposes. The original purpose of a building can sometimes be “restored”, while in other instances it may be necessary to use such a building for a completely different purpose. Restoration and renovation records need to be kept and a new, communal and relevant completion of options for the building needs to be considered in order to “bring it back to life”.
By giving a building a new purpose and developing it through a project we are trying to provide a solution for this very complex matter. Our knowledge and experience provide a range of options for the client which is a completely integrated approach of archaeological findings, delineation and inspection of (historical) plans and consideration of the effect of success in the new purpose plan up to final execution of the work.
Our ultimate goal is to bring about the scientific transformation of a historic-cultural heritance with due consideration and respect for the building, as well as the environment and the community.
We are thereby capable of providing a successful and acceptable project exactly as needed, in which all parties can be accommodated without having to sacrifice our historical and invaluable patrimony.
